Making a reservation

• How do I reserve my apartment Mekong Estate?
  Making an online reservation with Mekong Estate is easy. Just complete and send the reservation form making sure that you have given us your e-mail address. It is our policy to reply to all requests within 48 hours (this time may be longer during high season, festival periods or special events).
  Making a reservation with MEKONG ESTATE requires payment by bank money transfer. Please read our Terms and Conditions policy before making payment.
• Do you have apartments available on XXX dates?
  Note that Mekong Estate rent suite apartment and charge per week, from Sunday. Priority is given for long stay reservation. The booking process can be longer for short stay reservation in high season.
• I don't want to make a reservation online, what can I do?
  You can reserve by phone 00 856 71 252 560 or 00 856 71 21 29 29 or by fax 00 856 71 252 561, or visit us at Inthado, real estate agency in Luang Prabang.
• What is the latest time that I can make my reservation?
  The last minute is Ok depending of availability. Make sure we can assure your transfer from airport or Mekong Peer. The earlier you book, the better chance you have to get a confirmed reservation especially for long stay in high season (October to mi-April).

Confirming a reservation

• What happens when I make a reservation?
  Your reservation will be followed up with emails to confirm your booking or suggest to you alternative solutions if MEKONG ESTATE has been fully booked.
• What sort of acknowledgement will I receive when I book a suite apartment?
  When the booking is confirmed, the payment will be processed and you will receive Mekong Estate's bank ID.
  When the payment will be confirmed you will also be able to print your reservation confirmation voucher. You only present your identification to our staff before the transfer to Mekong Estate.
• What is a "Confirmation voucher"?
  Once the booking is confirmed, we will send you, by email, a confirmation voucher detailing all the reservation and price conditions. We invite you to make print out of this voucher to be kept and presented at the time of your transfer or check-in.
• Changing/Cancelling a reservation
  Changing a reservation could be possible it depends of the availability in Mekong Estate, you will be charge 10%.
  For cancellation our policy is as follow:
  - Less than 30 days prior to arrival: 50%
  - Less than 15 days prior to arrival: 100%

Children

• Are children accepted?
  In Ban Saylom, children are welcome above 14 years old. The policy regarding children is to protect the quiet of the place and for security raisons.

Prices & payment

• Are the rates on your site per person or per apartment or per night?
  The quoted rate is per apartment per week.
• Are credit cards accepted?
  Mekong Estate proceeds by money transfer only. The duration of transfer can be 2 weeks.

Miscellaneous

• How do I get to Mekong Estate?
  The staffs welcome the guests at the airport and assure the transfer to the residence.
• Do you recommend Travel insurance?
  We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance when making a booking.
  We recommend that insurance covers loss of deposit and other monies through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money, medical expenses, and additional expenses to cover accommodation and repatriation costs should any services need to be extended or curtailed due an illness or other insurance risk. Mekong Estate declines all liabilities before and during the stay.
